Glens Falls Pepsi Tournament:

Finals 7/25: Slate Valley 3, North Colonie Padres- 2  (2nd place finish Glens Falls Pepsi tournament)

A great game for the final even though we came up a little short- one of the best baseball games many of us have seen all year.  Great pitching game by Brendan MacPhee 4+ innings holding down a 12 year old Slate Valley team, with another solid 1+ innings by Kevin O'Neil.  Key Defensive Plays, Tartaglia Line Drive Catch at 2nd, O'Neil Outfield double play to 2nd, deep Catch near the wall for Klahr in Center field.

The boys should be proud of a great showing in this tournament with a 5-1 record from a nimble team of 9 players for every game.  It was a good ending to our All-star season.

Semi-final Game 7/25: North Colonie Padres 8, Clifton Park 4

 Nice solid game by all, our first of a double header today, nice pitching by Nick Tartaglia and Kevin O'Neil.  Some Key Defensive Plays: Tartaglia line drive catch in left field, Klahr running catch in Center, MacPhee driving across the infield for catch and throw to first.

7/23/09 North Colonie Padres 10, Granville 0

 Another great game to keep our winning streak going in the tournament (4-0). 5 different pitchers all combined for no runs- Nick, Kevin, Max, Garrett and Brendan.

7/19 North Colonie Padres 14, Queensbury 0

 The bats came alive again in the second game of a double header today.  Garrett Klahr pitched 3 strong innings and Sean Connolly 1.  Strong defensive play resulted in no runs for our opponent.

7/19 North Colonie Padres 7, South Glens Falls 2

Great game against a solid team that beat us earlier in the season.  Strong pitching by Brendan MacPhee pitching 4 innings and Kevin O’Neil 2 only allowing 2 runs.  Very good hitting and strong defense resulted in an impressive win today.

7/18 North Colonie Padres 12, Ticonderoga 1

A nice way to start the tournament with a decisive win in our first game.  Nick Tartaglia pitched a very strong 3 innings and Max Roemer 1.  Great defense and hitting by the Padres.

Tough game for us today, certainly not up to our boys' expectations for their play.  We will certainly do better in our next outing.  Give Coach Napolitano and his boys credit for keeping up the pressure on the base paths as we fumbled our way through this one.

 Solid starter for our All-Star Season.  Good Defense and some solid pitching got us through the game.  Coach Cassella's boys never gave up going down early.  Some timely hitting pulled us through

Dan pitched great today, giving us a solid effort, letting the defense play.
