State Tournament

July 23, 2014 - The 15 year old district team got back on track tonight with a huge win over AJ Laramie (Laconia) by a score of 11-1. Danny Fields pitched five innings allowing only one unearned run while Adam Woodman had the big hit in the bottom of the fifth inning to score John Ferrelli with the run that gave Hampton the "mercy rule" victory. Not only does Hampton move on to the State Tournament finals against defending State and New England champion Manchester, the win also earns Hampton a spot in the Babe Ruth New England tournament which begins on August 2nd at Gill Stadium in Manchester.

- he Hampton 15 year old District Team finally lost in the post-season, falling to defending champion Manchester on Monday night in Salem by a score of 7-3. John Ferrelli (3-2/3 IP) and Mike Fiacco (2-1/3 IP) pitched well in defeat. Hampton 
got off to a great start scoring two runs in the 2nd inning but gave up the lead an inning later after making several uncharacteristic errors in the field. John Ferrelli, Danny Fields, Jarod Baker and Brock Crowley were the offensive stars for Hampton while Jon Steeves, Fields, Crowley and Jake Sickel played well in the field. 

Hampton looks to get back on track on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. (Michele Park in Salem) in the loser's bracket final and with a spot in the New England regional tournament at stake.


July 21, 2014 - Hampton 14's lost in the State Championship finals on Monday in Portsmouth to long time rival Exeter. Exeter was able to put together a string of hits in the 5th inning scoring three times on its way to a 6-2 victory.  Congratulations to Brian Mills and the 14 year old team for a great season.

July 20, 2014 - The 14 year old Hampton Babe Ruth District Team defeated Nashua on Sunday by a score of 9-3. The Hampton squad will face their long time rivals from Exeter in the State Tournament finals on Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Leary Field in Portsmouth. Hampton will have to defeat Exeter twice tomorrow in order to be crowned State champs. Game 2, if needed, will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 1.
 
July 19, 2014 - The 15 year old Hampton Babe Ruth District Team began State Tournament play with a win over Goffstown on Saturday in Salem. The Hampton squad got another strong pitching performance from Danny Fields (5 hits over 7 innings; 6 K's). Adam Woodman, John Ferrelli, Jarod Baker and Fields led the way offensively for the Hampton squad. The 15's are back in action on Monday night at 7:00 p.m.

July 19, 2014 - After opening the State Tournament with a bang on Friday by defeating Hudson by a score of 11-0, the 14 year old Hampton Babe Ruth district team  ran into a buzz saw on Saturday losing to Exeter by a score of 12-6.  The Hampton 14's are looking to get back on track on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at Leary Field in Portsmouth.

July 12, 2014 - The Hampton 15 year old District Team advances to the State Tournament with a resounding win over Rochester on Saturday afternoon, 9-2. Danny Fields pitched a complete game (2 unearned runs) and the Hampton defense was stellar once again.  The 15's will play in Salem next weekend.

July11, 2014 - The Hampton 15's got a great pitching performance from John Ferrelli who went the distance in a big 7-2 win over Rochester on Friday. Hampton will play again on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Barrington with a chance to move on to the State championship tournament with a win.
