2014/2015 Competitive Tryouts Announced!

We are excited to announce tryouts for the 2014/2015 competitive season!! Come and join one of San Antonio's most developmentally focused clubs and see the Liberty difference!!

All teams and players are taught using our age appropriate, progressive curriculum focusing on technique, possession and creativity!! Our staff values technical, creative players and employs the guided discovery method to ensure that the players are in charge of their development. We strive to create an environment where development leading to results is the focus rather than winning at all costs.

In just our first year we held the following events to benefit all of our players and families:

Eric Wynalda visit and clinic- World famous former professional player, current Atlanta Silverbacks Technical Director and Fox Soccer Analyst personally visited the club to sign autographs and run a skills clinic http://www.neysoliberty.org/Default.aspx?tabid=362655&mid=387842&newskeyid=HN1&newsid=7795&ctl=newsdetail
4 US Women's National Team Players visit: Becky Sauerbrunn, Yael Averbuch, Jill Loyden, and Heather O'Reilly personally visisted NEYSO Liberty SC to take pictures, sign autographs, and speak with our players http://www.neysoliberty.org/Default.aspx?tabid=362655&mid=387842&newskeyid=HN1&newsid=8845&ctl=newsdetail
Parent Education Night: Director of Soccer Operations, Jon Burklo, gave a presentation on club philosophy and style of play, Psychologist Rick Theis gave a presentation with the help of 3 Trinity University Women's players and 1 Scorpion player on how Parents can positively or negatively impact their children's soccer development, and Andy Bock, one of the cities, leading referees gave a presentation on commonly misunderstood rules of the game
5 college coaches visited and trained our high school aged players with more planned: University of Mobile (nationally ranked NAIA), Our Lady of the Lake (nationally ranked NAIA), Texas Lutheran University, St Mary's University, Trinity University
4 players committed to play collegiately
NEYSO Liberty World Cup Fesitval (May 10th)- our players and families will have the chance to compete in an in-house 3v3 tournament on the Scorpions field prior to their May 10th game!!! http://www.neysoliberty.org/Default.aspx?tabid=362655&mid=387842&newskeyid=HN1&newsid=22094&ctl=newsdetail
